Topic: Vista hibernation ain't so bad, but i don't need it...

my vista, not tweaked, boots up in about 1 minute 30 seconds   neutral

resuming from hibernation just took  1 minute  27 seconds   neutral

i really never use hibernation, if at work i put it to sleep with the lid, when i retire for the day i generally shut it down.

i have been reading all this hub bub about hibernation, and if  the n10 boots up about the same - why not shutdown - ?

if the n10 takes a much longer time to get to a usable desktop, that is a no brainer, just do not use it (hibernation).

i also find that using shutdown, more often makes my n10 run much better, than it ever has.

by continually putting it to sleep/hibernate, i think and have observed that things get messed up, and i will have to shutdown/restart to fix these little quirks.

all computers especially for home users are meant to be SHUTDOWN, more often than they usually are, its good for them.

I agree, I can't see any reason to use hibernate.
