Re: Soon, HD flash will no longer be a N10 weakness

hmm Do not know much about it , however, it sounds real nice, wish i could have seen the video, unfortunately it has been removed by the time i got to it.  you guys/gals do all this stuff with games, videos etc.. o'clocking and everything imaginable under the sun. and, all i hear is problems, and we are suppose to have the best mobile gaming/video computer on the planet.

you all know i am not an expert with gaming or anything else, but every time i try to play back a you tube video etc (even ones made by professionals - cnet, downloads.com, etc most are average at the best.

if there is any way this could improve the performance of the n10 270/280 i am fricking for it, gosh darn we all deserve better peformance without screwing the battery life, but, here is the rub, how do they do it so everyone benefits from it.   tongue   hmm

now , u guys with all the knowledge, have the chance to tell asus and others, how we can find that fine balance so we may all benefit, from this advancement, (if it is a true advancement), if it is "I" and I  guess all the rest of you would come on board, i hope so, wishing there is a big thumbs up here   hmm

I hope so DUDE

Re: Soon, HD flash will no longer be a N10 weakness

Well Web, it's really not that hard to understand. What nVidia and Adobe (the makers of Flash) have done is enable hardware acceleration for the flash-codec. This means that the videocard can now assist the processor (which in our case is the VERY weak Atom) in decoding and rendering the video. And as we have a really great graphics card in our N10 (the 9300M) this would result in even 1080p video being displayed fluently (as was shown in the above linked video).

Other regular netbook users will not have this advantage, as the Intel GMA950 is probably even weaker at decoding flash than the Atom is  lol Only netbooks that will really profit from this is our N10 and all ION-models to come.

Don't make me "touch" you :-D
