I found the problem, the problem seems to be goin on with alot of other Asus notebooks because of the hidden recovery partition... they said to delete the partition and it should work but is there a way where i dont have to???

keep searching, and maybe you should go to the asus forums and ask the folks there, i would ask u to go to asus tech support, but, do not think they would help you   sad

Well i tried but couldnt find any solutions other than deletin the partition. Looks like ill wait till i get a ssd and just fresh installin 7 on that  big_smile

gosh darnit if u figure it out let us know - but as crossbourne - said - i have seen this discussed somewhere in the forums before- the web is still your best bet , i think   neutral

if it is a matter of not having a cd/dvd drive  go to a school, library, computer lab at a high school or college, or university, or a local computer club, and they will help you -I GUARANTEE IT - just stroke their egos   smile  honestly you will not have to do that- they will probably be more than happy to help you

ya the dvd drive is not the problem but the partition part is... well lets wait then lol smile
