Topic: Vcore and Overclocking

I have seen CPU-Z screenshots that show the Vcore at over 1.2V.  I have overclocked my N10J to 2GHz but on 1.075V.  I tried to go to 2.1GHz, but it starts to get errors in Prime95.

How do I raise my Vcore?  I didn't see any options in the BIOS.  Is it some power option in Windows?  I am using Windows 7.

Thanks.

Several of us have looked into this.  I don't think anyone has found a way as of yet.

As I understand it 1.075V is normal.  There was an older version of CPU-Z that was miscorrectly showing voltage values so this is probably how someone got a screen shot showing 1.2V.  That being said there does seem to be some differences between various N10 voltages.  Some have significantly lower values and then have quite a difficult time overclocking.  It seems to be a hardware thing though and not something that can be changed (at least easily).

Good luck though.  I'd be interested if you have an answer to this.  I can only get my N10 to 1.90GHz.  Mine doesn't give errors though it just locks up the keyboard, mousepad, and any USB mouse.

Re: Vcore and Overclocking

Solitaire said it all. Though normal CVV is 1.1V not 1.075V.

And no, there is still not a way to increase VCore via software.

Asus N10Jc @ 2.06 Ghz - XP / 7 Dual - 2GB 667Mhz RAM - WD Scorpio Blue 250Gb - FSB:DRAM 1:2 - CVV 1.1V
