Topic: HDMI audio delay, set HDMI Audio without picture,
Problem one, an infuriating issue.
When starting any audio through HDMI it takes about half a second to turn on. /after a short gap of silence the HDMI audio seems to turn off. This in practice means I miss the first half second of any sound which comes after a gap. I am going to go mad 
if I have to put up with this any longer.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Secondly, and far less of an issuem Does anyone know a way to set the audio output to HDMI while the visual element is off. I'm just outputing music to an AV reciever and if I set the HDMI monitor to off the audio switches off with it.
I can just click "duplicate display" but then my laptop and reciever are doing some unnessesary work I'd like to avoid.
But mainly this irritating HDMI audio delay. --erwise -'ll ---o ---ad
Edit: just to note I have installed the latest drivers to try and troubleshoot, no luck
