well no it will allow the system to load but once you get on your desktop it says 3days to activate.... so when he tried to activate it said exceeded the amounts of use.... it was one of the Beta vista rc1 keys....

ahhh gotcha.. ima have to track down something the old cmd re cycle probstill works.

the recycle def still works 
for up to 120 days.... to unlock the seven features just download : bluebadge..... you need to google it bc i forgot where the heck i got it from lol.... but it works very well.... the first time i had to run some scripts from the cmd prompt lol... this one is just double click and you are good

still have 1 other unknown device i cant figure out what it is
typer: to install the finger print reader, you need to get the winXP files since they are pre extracted, or find where seven exracted the install/driver files too.... then you have to manually install the driver through the device manager.
I to be honest went back to XP.... although i love seven hotkey and P4G is not working as well as i want it to, and there are a few prgrams taht i use that dont work very well.... also my overclock i feel is not as stable in seven like it is in vista and XP... I got BSOD a couple of times after OCing and testing out some games. so as of right now, i am waiting for a new build to come out.
But if you are interested in trying it out.....
Install Seven, once at the desktop put in your driver DVD and right click properties then compatibility, set it to vista RTM. Now double click on setup again and select the programs you want installed..... P4G, Hotkey, and Fingerprint reader wont install automatically.... FPR you have to install manually(driver) and hotkey needs some wierd combo of vista hotkey and XPbeta Hotkey, P4G i did not use as Seven has a great power management and P4G did not work anyways.

hmmm not sure i remember, but if it is im pretty sure it would be the drivers.... which ones did you use? vista or XP?
some things just dont run right on Seven yet from what i saw.... I am just going to wait for the Beta to come out and hope that there are more fixes
Update!: got the new release of Seven 6956 build, and......
After installing seven i actually only installed the following drivers as the other created conflict:
Audio: both realtek and nvidia
GPU: Nvidia only since i dont use the other setting lol (but im sure it wont be a problem)
Wifi:automatically installed(install might have searched my Data drive as i have drivers for it there....)
Lan: automatically installed(also updated through Win update)
BT: automatically installed
Fprint: i actually used Windows XP driver for this... freaking wierd
ATK: Driver was installed ATK0100, ATK Hotkey Beta for Windows XP No more ATK crap... the rest just cause issues.... i myslef like the faster running hotkey thing not that lilttle animated one lol.
and intel Chipset driver: INF....
For the big one!!!: P4GH works woot! with only those drivers i mentioned above P4GH actually works .... only thing is it does not display the turbo mode which honestly i dont care since i use SetFSB to OC my computer anyways....
to run most of these install you dont need to run on compatibility mode but, for the chipset driver you have to run it as admin and in compatibility mode. If i am missin a driver just ask and i will let you know if i installed it.... I actually also installed splendid and lifeframe so that my webcam function actually works lol... and possibly a couple of other things i cant think of.
Good luck, things seem faster to me but then again the performance meter show a 2.3 for CPU!?:rolleyes: I need to run 3dmark06 and see if i get the usual numbers...
Note: Windows experience rating has gone from 1.0-5.9 in vista to 1.0 to 7.9 in the latest release of seven...

Vieo playback in windows 7 is currently TERRIBLE. Playing video uses much more power than it should. And it takes much more than Vista. It's probably to do with the redesigned Desktop Window Manager. I assume WDDM1.1 drivers would fix it.
I am going back to vista, inability to play 1080p video is a deal breaker for me.
hmmmm i have yet to look into the 1080P playback.... will take a look at it later today, so far all my 3dmark scores yield the same as with Vista..... if not a couple of points better but not by much. all the flash videos i watch are smooth though, and video games are good as well.... Deadspace plays well, and so does AmericasArmy, although that one i think is more CPU bound like HL2.
